The Pros and Cons of Hiring Independent Contractors in an Era of Regulatory Change

December 2017EmploymentHealthcare

Abstract

In today’s work-life balance driven culture, modern companies know that attracting great talent means embracing a variety of work styles and employment relationships. Along with that understanding is the knowledge that a traditional employee relationship is not always the best fit for a company’s needs from either a cost or workforce management perspective. Often, we just want a seasoned expert with specialized expertise to pop in, work on a project as efficiently as possible, and then move on without any need for specialized training.
