The tools available to GCs in managing the contracts in any organisation are now well developed. From supply chain certification to distributed document automation, the software tools to collapse legal service support times while improving accuracy and effectiveness are reliable and well developed. Increasingly these tools are now being deployed to cover employment contracts too. Many HRDs are glad to share this burden, and many are happy to focus on the Board level contracts only. GCs should not fear extending their expertise and reach into traditional HR territory.
