Cybersecurity: Overview of United States Guidelines

As the number of high profile data security breach headlines continue to mount around the world, so do the concerns for in-house counsel of how to prevent your company from becoming the next target. The companies impacted by cybersecurity issues vary across industries: Adobe, Snapchat, Sony, Target and JP Morgan Chase are just a few of the internationally recognized names that have been impacted by cybersecurity breaches. The suspects responsible for these attacks range from foreign governments, to political activists, to, as believed in the JP Morgan Chase incident, individuals attempting to fuel an ongoing stock trading scheme.
