Allison Brown is Director – Legal, Employment for Google in its Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and has extensive cross-border experience. Google currently has operations in 36 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Allison manages a team of lawyers who are responsible for all employment, pensions, benefits and data protection law matters in the region.
Allison was educated at Warwick University (BA (Hons) German) and Nottingham Law School. Prior to her current role, Allison worked as Senior Associate for Baker & McKenzie LLP in London.
Allison is a member of the International Committee of the Employment Lawyers’ Association
Michael Burd is a partner and joint head of Lewis Silkin’s Employment, Reward and Immigration department. He crossed the Atlantic to complete his undergraduate studies in 1978 and never returned home. He advises on all aspects of employment law, with particular interest in boardroom issues, negotiating senior level departures and dispute resolution generally. His practice is highly international, dealing with both UK clients’ employment law needs globally and with UK issues for clients in numerous other jurisdictions.
Michael contributes articles to various publications including Management Today and People Management and regularly speaks at client and industry conferences and seminars. He was formerly president of the City of Westminster Law Society.
Erik Deur is the co-founding partner of Bronsgeest Deur Advocaten and has over 22 years experience advising on all aspects of employment law. He earned a law degree at the University of Leiden in 1989 and joined the Amsterdam based law firm Ekelmans Den Hollander. In 2003, together with Henriëtte Bronsgeest, he founded the specialist employment law firm, Bronsgeest Deur Advocaten.
Erik advises Dutch and international companies on employment law issues with a particular focus on corporate restructuring and negotiations with trade unions and works councils. He is a member of the Association for Employment Lawyers in Amsterdam (VAAA), the Association for Employment Lawyers in the Netherlands (VAAN) and the European Employment Law Association (EELA).
